Barber Reunion
First of all we got into Portland and I had a suprise planned for Mark. His sister Lauri and her 2 daughters were up in Portland babysitting so they were gonna meet us at Joe's Crab Shack and suprise Uncle Mark. Well the stupid GPS took us over the bridge into Vancouver and then the next thing we knew we were crossing the bridge again back to Portland.....well Mark's patience was being tested but he decided to try it one more time and lukily it worked. We had a nice dinner and then back to the hotel so all the kids could swim. We got to keep Macey with us and take her with us down to the reunion. In the morning we went and hung out at the mall with Lauri and Carson since Carson wasn't going to be at the reunion.
For Mark's family reunion this year the whole family went camping together to the coast and it was so much fun!!! The kids got to do hiking and playing in the river and even got to touch a live starfish. It was 3 days of nothing but fun and catching up with everyone (except Lauri but she had a good excuse-but we still missed her). The river was pretty cold but I still got in...Julie and I discovered that flip flops made great paddles. The ice cream truck even came down to the river. While some of us played at the river the older kids along with Jeff and Mark went hiking...my Shelby did the whole thing in flip flops...proud moment for me. The kids played at the park and kick the can every spare moment they had. After the reunion we got to go back to Medford for a few days. On the way back we got to stop and see Grandpa Barber and have some really good pizza. Back at Medford we stayed with Mike and Tammy...thank you so much btw!!! We got to spend time with Lauri and the rest of the family swimming, picking blackberries and hearing stories from Grandpa Clements. Mark and I also got to do a speed boat dinner cruise with his parents and it was so much fun. Poor Mark got soaked but it was a great time. I love Oregon and going there every year is something I look forward too and will continue to look forward too.
