The happiest day of my life

Every girl imagines in their head what their wedding day will be like.  I have dreamed of this day since I was 12....it was like a fairy tale...the perfect man the perfect dress, the perfect day.  Minus the family that was unable to make it due to very short notice I would not change a thing.  We got engaged on Friday and married on Monday....due to his upcoming deployment we figured why wait?  We have been together for 2 and 1/2 years now so that's what we did.  We will have a reception at a later date so all our family and friends can be there.  Mark, I love you so much.  You have come in and made our family whole again.  You are the man of my dreams and I look forward to spending the rest of my life as your wife.

These are just a few of my favorites.  Thank you to the very talented Cat Palmer...amazing as usual.

Back to School

Well the title speaks for itself.  This is the girls on their first day of school.  Shelby is going into 6th grade and in student council this year.  Shaylee is going into 4th grade and very excited.  Kinda crazy to think that next year I will have a kid in junior high...:(  The highlight of going back to school for the girls this year?  Well Mark got to take them to their first day!!!  Shaylee said the night before:  It's been so long since I got to have my dad take me to school...just melted my heart.  Did I mention I love this man?  He has been such a blessing in our lives.

Barber Reunion

First of all we got into Portland and I had a suprise planned for Mark.  His sister Lauri and her 2 daughters were up in Portland babysitting so they were gonna meet us at Joe's Crab Shack and suprise Uncle Mark.  Well the stupid GPS took us over the bridge into Vancouver and then the next thing we knew we were crossing the bridge again back  to Portland.....well Mark's patience was being tested but he decided to try it one more time and lukily it worked.  We had a nice dinner and then back to the hotel so all the kids could swim.  We got to keep Macey with us and take her with us down to the reunion.  In the morning we went and hung out at the mall with Lauri and Carson since Carson wasn't going to be at the reunion.
For Mark's family reunion this year the whole family went camping together to the coast and it was so much fun!!!  The kids got to do hiking and playing in the river and even got to touch a live starfish.  It was 3 days of nothing but fun and catching up with everyone (except Lauri but she had a good excuse-but we still missed her). The river was pretty cold but I still got in...Julie and I discovered that flip flops made great paddles.  The ice cream truck even came down to the river.  While some of us played at the river the older kids along with Jeff and Mark went hiking...my Shelby did the whole thing in flip flops...proud moment for me. The kids played at the park and kick the can every spare moment they had.  After the reunion we got to go back to Medford for a few days.  On the way back we got to stop and see Grandpa Barber and have some really good pizza.  Back at Medford we stayed with Mike and Tammy...thank you so much btw!!!  We got to spend time with Lauri and the rest of the family swimming, picking blackberries and hearing stories from Grandpa Clements.  Mark and I also got to do a speed boat dinner cruise with his parents and it was so much fun.  Poor Mark got soaked but it was a great time.  I love Oregon and going there every year is something I look forward too and will continue to look forward too.

He's home and Shelby's Birthday

Well suprise suprise getting Mark home was a day and a half of nothing other than delays.  But after a very frustrating day of nothing but delays he finally made it home on Shelby's birthday....which is the only thing she had asked for her birthday btw.  We got to pick Mark up at the airport early in the morning and then we went to breakfast and then home for a lazy afternoon.  We went to dinnner to the Texas Roadhouse (her favorite) with Grandma and Grandpa and then cake and present time.  Then time to get packed for our annual trip to Oregon the next day.
