Easter

Today my heart is so very full.  I am so thankful for my brother Jesus Christ and his atoning sacrifice.  I am thankful for he knowledge that I can repent of my sins and be forgiven.  I am so happy to know that one day ALL of us will be resurrected.  It really puts into perspective the trials and pain we experience here .....it is all temporary and we must endure to the end.  This may sound crazy but I am thankful for my trials and the knowledge that I am never alone.  Heavenly Father has been that light in a really dark room so many times for me and I know he will continue to guide me through.

3 years later

My heart this weekend has been so full for so many reasons.  One of them being is our love story began 3 years ago this weekend.  It was 3 years ago after months of emails and endless phone conversations Mark and I met in person.  I knew from the moment we met he was "the one".  I never believed in fate until I met Mark, we were meant to find each other.  Sucks it took so long but the best things in life come to those who wait.  I think life experiences has made it to where we both can appreciate the other that much more.  Kinda funny to look back and see how much has changed over 3 years.  The top picture is at the children museum at the Gateway and the bottom picture is the most recent picture that we had taken.

Easter weekend

Well this weekend was pretty low key but still a great end to spring break. Marrianne and I took the kids swimming at surf and swim. Saturday we went up to cousin Jens house and the girls colored Easter eggs with Vivvi. This was Vivvi's first time coloring Easter eggs and it was a lot of fun watching her color the eggs. Sunday the girls got to wear their new dresses to church... Great weekend!!!

BBQ and Hill Aerospace Museum and Boondocks

Well we topped off the fun weekend with a BARBER-Q as Shelby likes to say....LOL!  We also took some of the kids to Boondocks so they could race go carts and they had so much fun!  Saturday we took some of us up to the Hill Air Force Base Aerospace museum.  I must say that it made me appreciate my husband that much more to see the big planes and helicopters he has to take to go in and out of his upcoming deployments.  I am so proud to be his wife...even though I hate having so spend so much time apart.  I will be so glad when the next 9 months are over and I get so see him again in the meantime it was great to spend time with his family.  I did feel bad for poor Jake having to be wheeled around in a wheelchair every time we went somewhere.  Love you guys!!!

Temple Square and City Creek Mall

Mark's family came to visit Utah for Spring Break and we had so much fun!  The first day in town we went down to Temple Square and then went and checked out the new City Creek Mall.  We had so much fun!  Since it was Conference Weekend there were a lot of people touring the temple grounds.  I love the Salt Lake Temple and I cannot wait to go there with my family and be sealed together as a family.  The Salt Lake temple has always been my favorite, I remember as a little girl thinking it was a castle and one day I was going to go there with "prince charming"....well one day I will go there with my prince and my girls and we will be sealed as a family for time and all eternity.  Everday life and struggles seem to put an eternal perspective on life...makes the little things we stress over and worry about seem so trivial.  My favorite quote from conference was: "When times of crisis arise, when loved ones are injured or hurt or when sickness enters the house of good health when life's candle dims and darkens and darkness threatens. Our thoughts become focused and we are easily able to determine what is really important and what is mearly trivial" - President Thomas S. Monson

Dare Graduation

Shelby completed the 6 week program for Dare and during the 6 weeks all of the students had to write a report on what they learned.  A winner was selected from each of the 3 classes to read their report during the graduation.  I am so proud to say that Shelby was the winner for her class.  I am so proud of her accomplishments and cannot believe that next year she is going to be in Jr. High!!!  Love you sweet girl!!!
